#MindsetMinute No. 6 – Let’s explore “fear of success” and some ways it shows up:

1. It may not have been safe for you to be more successful than your siblings growing up.

2. If your parents were afraid of the world or expected bad things to happen to them if they stood out (were successful in some area of their lives), that would be a signal to you as a kid that it’s not safe to be successful.

3. If your parents had a negative relationship with money or thought that rich people were evil, you may now have a subconscious fear that if you are financially successful, your parents won’t love you.

These are just SOME examples of how the environment we lived in when we were under the age of 7 may be causing our subconscious to sabotage our trades now. Especially if you are beginning to scale up after a green streak. That’s when these subconscious programs can begin to fuck with us the most.

Mind you, these are rarely CONSCIOUS things you are thinking to yourself. Meaning, in your logical mind, you may know this stuff isn’t true, but if your subconscious mind (body) has this stuff programmed in before the age of 7, you’re gonna have some reprogramming to do. And that’s okay. In fact, that’s normal. There is nothing actually taboo about this and there is absolutely NOTHING “wrong with you.” 

No one is “broken.” That’s a false judgment usually told to you/originating from someone else’s insecurity or fears. We are spirits/consciousness simply having experiences. All experiences are here FOR us… to grow from. You are perfect. Truly. We are simply here to learn and grow. That’s it.

So how do we begin to reprogram the subconscious mind?

There are many ways. Some of the best ways are ways we’ve already started exploring:

  • Meditation is a big one.
  • Hypnosis: waking with a hypnotherapist or listening to sleeping meditations like the one I created for you.

Here are a couple new tools we can begin exploring together:

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (i.e. E.F.T. or “Tapping) – I’ll talk more about this one in coming sessions because it’s one of the best things you can do in REAL TIME, for example, when you are stressing during a trade.
  • E.M.D.R. is an incredible therapy that changed my life in just 3 months. 
    • This is an incredible way to permanently reprogram trauma and the subconscious programs. This must be done with a licensed therapist. Never attempt this alone. ALWAYS work with a qualified therapist for this.
    • This technique healed me of night terrors and a lot of subconscious programming that had me feeling insecure and afraid of the world when I was younger. Absolutely life changing. If you had a difficult upbringing (like me) OR if you had some traumatic experiences that are fucking with your quality of life now, I STRONGLY suggest exploring this healing technique. It’s AWESOME!
